PLANTED IN 1925

PHINCA LA REVILLA

Single Vineyard

David has worked the soils of La Revilla since his youth, developing a profound understanding of the vines and their unique character. Planted in 1925, this small parcel features limestone clay soils and individually staked vines planted al cuadro at 1.8 x 1.8 meters, a traditional square pattern historically used for horse plowing—a practice we continue today as part of our biodynamic farming.

Named after the area’s historical designation, “La Revilla,” the vineyard is carefully tended, with a strip of native herbs left between rows to enhance soil health and promote biodiversity.

Produced in both red and white expressions, this single-vineyard wine pays homage to Rioja’s tradition of long-aging wines while introducing a refreshing vibrancy not often found in aged styles. Its limited production is a result of meticulous care in the vineyard, where every task is done by hand.

WINES THAT SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES

Within each subzone, we have vineyards that possess something special. Once vinified, our wines aspire to communicate their geographic, temporal, historical, and cultural origins. They capture the essence of their environment, including the soil, surroundings, sun exposure, and microclimate, resulting in wines that embody the fragance of flowers, mediterranean herbs, and the natural surroundings of the wines.
